No. All Gleagle levitating products use wireless power transmission. Electricity is transferred through the air from the base to the floating unit via electromagnetic induction. No battery inside means no shipping restrictions and no replacement needed.
Yes. The base must be connected to AC power for levitation and lighting to function. The floating unit receives power wirelessly from the base.
